We run the Quick Access walk in clinic each day between 08.30 - 10.30 for acute problems.

For Patients with long term conditions, we will be contacting you to make an appointment in your birthday month to see your usual doctor and have a review of your condition and any tests that are needed

Making an Appointment

diaryYou can make an appointment in person at reception, by telephoning the surgery or online. It is generally easier to telephone after 10:00 to get a routine appointment.

The easiest method is via the online appointment booking system, where you can book at anytime with a doctor except the Quick Access Clinic.

Appointments run throughout the day between 07.00 till 19.30.

Although we do our best to make sure you see your regular doctor, you may be required to see another member of the doctor team. Please be rest assured, all our doctors have access to your full medical history and will discuss any issues with your regular doctor if this is necessary. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you are 16 or younger, you do not have to be seen with a parent or guardian, but it may be a good idea to tell them that you are coming for an appointment.

Quick Access Clinic

If you have a medical problem that is new or has got worse, then you can access our daily Quick Access Clinic. The clinic is run by multiple healthcare professionals including HCAs and Clinical Assistants, Trainees and GPs. This clinic is available from 8.30am until 10.30am Monday to Friday. The clinic operates a 'first come first served' system, however if you call us we can estimate a time in the morning for you to come in when it is less busy.

For minor illnesses such as coughs, colds, cystitis,  please attend the local pharmacies where they will be happy to help you. Pharmacies are much more equipped to help with minor illness and often have a better knowledge of 'over the counter' products which will help you feel better more quickly. If you are concerned about the cost then please ask a pharmacist regarding the minor ailments scheme and you can access free medication if you are entitled.

Please be aware that due to the rota system we use, we are unable to offer patients an urgent appointment with their named doctor although our team of doctors regularly communicate with each other regarding your care.

Please note we will not complete any administrative forms during consultations. Please put your request in writing and we will usually get this done within 10 working days. We have fit note request forms in reception and these usually take 5 working days

Telephone Advice

If you wish to talk to the doctor or nurse for telephone advice please phone the surgery and leave your contact details and we will pass them to the doctor or nurse.

Please note if you wish for a named doctor to call you back, our practice policy is this will happen within 2 working days as long as the doctor is available. If your need is more urgent, please speak to Reception or the Duty Doctor who will advise you accordingly.

Routine Appointments

We offer routine appointments between 07.00 and 19.30, please book via the online appointment system or via telephone or in person.

At the Practice we offer a permanent team of doctors and a named GP for all our patients. We also promote continuity of care for all our patients. Please ask a member of the team for your named GP.

Clinics are usually bookable 4-6 weeks in advance.

We are delighted to announce we now offer a commuter clinic twice a week between 6.30 and 7.00 pm! Please note these appointments are only available online.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend at the arranged time, please contact the reception so that they can give the appointment to someone else and arrange a new one for you. Any non-attendance is recorded in your records.

Chaperones

If you would like a chaperone during any appointment at the Practice please ask a member of the team who will arrange a fully trained member of staff to accompany you.

Please note we are a training practice and you may be offered an appointment either in person or online with one of these trainees. Please note these are either FY2 or ST level who are fully qualified doctors and work with one of our partners. If you do not wish to see one of these doctors, please inform reception.
